STRESS
Severe pre-pregnancy stress is associated with an increased risk of overweight in the offspring in later childhood. Prenatal maternal exposure to severe stress may increase the risk of ADHD in the offspring. Prenatal and postnatal environmental factors may affect these epigenetics factors, having responsability in long-term DNA transcription, and influencing the development of psychiatric disorders. Maternal stress is a potential risk factorfor generation of intrauterine malformations of the fetus
